Things To Consider

Hurricane Irene has left many homeowners throughout New England with a wet basement or even a flooded basement. Whether it was a leaking foundation crack or other defect in the wall it’s important to correct those problems before the next storm. Once water finds its way once, it remembers the path.

Here are a few helpful tips to get you ready for the next rain storm: Call Crack-X for any foundation cracks or other leaks in the basement wall. Make sure the grading (landscape) around your home is pitched away from the foundation so water drains away. Make sure your gutters are clean and working properly and that you have extensions on the down spouts to help drain water away from the foundation. If you have any questions in regards to any of these topics, please feel free to call Crack-X 877-272-2539 or visit us on the web at WWW.CRACK-X.COM

Poured Concrete Foundation Crack Repair

Cracks in poured concrete foundations walls, although not uncommon can cause headaches for property owners. Leaks are not only inconvenient, but continued moisture can decrease indoor air quality and allow for the growth of mold and mildew. Not addressing these leaks properly could result in continued clean up or additional expenses.
Rarely are cracks a structural threat or problem, generally the biggest issue is water penetration. Cracks occur for a few different reasons:

- Thermal Expansion and Contraction
- Settling and Shrinkage
- Physical Force
Most cracks occur within the first 60 days of pouring the foundation.

CRACK-X's method of repair is pressure injection. CRACK-X uses urethane grout or epoxy resin to repair concrete cracks in foundations. Both of these materials are effective in repairing water leaks in basement. Under low pressure these materials are injected into the crack, allowing a full depth, permanent repair. CRACK-X offers a 10 Yr. warranty.
